Intimidate

Hello! I’ll be giving you all a lesson on intimidate today! I’m super excited to do this so let’s get going.

What is Intimidate?

Intimidate is an ability that was introduced to M:TG during Zendikar. This ability is similar to the ability fear. Fear stated: This creature can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or black creatures.


Intimidate on the other hand is an ability where creatures can only be blocked by other creatures that one share it’s color or is an artifact. Intimidate, in my opinion, is a better version of fear that works with all colors. This ability is very unique, here are a few facts you might want to know:

My Opinion

My opinion of this ability is that it is a decent ability, it is balanced. The ability is fun to play with and I enjoy using it in my commander decks. 


I would like to see it printed in more recent sets. The ability can be a pain to deal with I will admit that but can be easily taken care of. The upside to this ability is being able to have an attacker that has a possibility of not being blocked, downside is playing against a color that can block the card. 


I am actually disappointed that it is not used much anymore, but who knows maybe it’ll pick back up sometime soon.

Wither

  Introduction Welcome back to another post everyone.  Today's post is about the ability Wither. Wither is a very interesting ability that very few creatures have. Creatures with wither deal damage in the form of -1/-1 counters. Wither is similar to infect but  doesn't give your opponent  poison counters when they're dealt damage by the creature. However, wither and infect go hand in hand.  Wither hasn't been in a set since Eventide, which makes it an older ability in MTG's history. Lessons From A Commander Player: Refining

  Hello everyone! Today we will be discussing revising, and testing decks. These things are very important to be a good player.  Refining a deck For some people refining a deck is simple, and to other people, it’s not simple at all. Most decks have cards known as “Filler cards” these cards are just in the deck until you can get better cards to replace them. The easiest way to refine a deck is to find cards that don’t fit exactly the deck's purpose and replace those cards with cards that do fit the deck. For example, replace a vanilla creature like colossapede with a creature like Grunn, The lonely king. Go through all the cards in the deck and take out all the cards you have as options. From there, decide which you can keep, and which should be replaced.
