Ral Zerak

 Hello everyone, I am very excited to be doing this post today. This is my first history of a Planeswalker series.

 I hope you all enjoy! 

History

Ral began as an expansion character in DOPT with UR spell deck. He didn’t get any background besides being an Izzet mage and walker. 


From there he made his first debut in Return to Ravnica. He was one of the main characters in RtR. 


Niv-Mizzet was researching Implicit Maze and was keeping the reasoning for the researching secret but made Ral head researcher on the case.

Implicit Maze Research

The Implicit Maze was a failsafe for the guild. It was there to either restructure the guildpact or use the implicit power of the Supreme Verdict to essentially reset Ravnica by destroying Ravnica.


Ral during his research came into conflict with the Golgari Guild searching for Leylines in their territory named the Undercity. 


Ral, however, was not very diplomatic and ended up getting into a battle with some Golgari members and set off a huge explosion in the Undercity. 


This lead to the reveal of the Leyline pattern and that they were tied to the gates of each guild.

Ral’s Project

Ral was working on a super special project, one that was meant to track where Planeswalkers planeswalked to and detect where they walk to.


Jace

Jace is important to this story because Jace had known about Ral’s ability of planeswalking. In fact, he was the only one that realized this and only knew of the ability Ral possessed because of his mind reading ability. 


Jace shows up in Ravnica and becomes involved with the guilds. Niv-Mizzet becomes very curious about why Jace is there and then sends Ral to investigate. While Ral was gone investigating, Niv-Mizzet worked on the project and plan to gain the power of the implicit maze to restructure the guildpact.


 Ral after fights Jace at the Izzet Guildgate. However, Jace tricks Ral with Illusions, these illusions were of Jace himself. Ral targeted the wrong Jace and while this happened Jace slipped right out of Ral’s hands.

How’d he gets his spark

Nobody knows exactly how Ral got his spark, but he was a planeswalker before RtR. Ral was very secret about his planeswalking ability, never telling Niv-Mizzet or anyone else. 

Personality

Ral is a very ambitious walker. He’s also thought to be evil. Ral is backstabbing, secretive, power hungry, and he works against Niv-Mizzet. At other times against his own guild.

Magic and Power

Ral has some electromancy from what we have seen and what we know. Also, he has enhanced Izzet contraptions for supplementing his own power. 


Ral can create storms and launch bolts of lightning across Ravnica.


Relationship

Ral is gay! He is in a relationship with Tomik Vrona. In fact, the cloth he clenches in his hand is part of Tomik's robe and in Tomik's card arts he has a scrap of Ral's robe.

Wither

  Introduction Welcome back to another post everyone.  Today's post is about the ability Wither. Wither is a very interesting ability that very few creatures have. Creatures with wither deal damage in the form of -1/-1 counters. Wither is similar to infect but  doesn't give your opponent  poison counters when they're dealt damage by the creature. However, wither and infect go hand in hand.  Wither hasn't been in a set since Eventide, which makes it an older ability in MTG's history.   Hello everyone! Today we will be discussing revising, and testing decks. These things are very important to be a good player.  Refining a deck For some people refining a deck is simple, and to other people, it’s not simple at all. Most decks have cards known as “Filler cards” these cards are just in the deck until you can get better cards to replace them. The easiest way to refine a deck is to find cards that don’t fit exactly the deck's purpose and replace those cards with cards that do fit the deck. For example, replace a vanilla creature like colossapede with a creature like Grunn, The lonely king. Go through all the cards in the deck and take out all the cards you have as options. From there, decide which you can keep, and which should be replaced. During this process, it is important that you also look at what the deck's focus is, for example, I have a graveyard deck so I know that my deck would be more creature heavy than everything else.
